LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers enter the postseason with momentum, having won four straight contests and 20 of their last 23. Indiana rounded out the regular season in College Park, Md. and Washington D.C. on April 16-17 with a trio of wins against Brown, Harvard, and George Washington.
SENIOR SALUTE
The seven-member senior class will be honored prior to Friday's 7:30 p.m. matchup with either Harvard or Gannon. The class of 2011, comprised of Katie Black, Kara Butler, Kelsey Campbell, Kate Dunn, Nicole Redder, Jenna Roe, and Lauren Wyckoff, have made their mark at Indiana University both in the pool and in the classroom throughout their impressive careers. Arguably the most productive class in IU water polo history, this group has combined for 386 starts, 607 goals, and 84 victories during their time at Indiana.
HOOSIERS vs. CWPA OPPONENTS
Indiana is 9-2 against CWPA opponents this season, with the two losses coming to No. 1 seed Michigan and No. 2 seed Hartwick. The Hoosiers have outscored CWPA opposition by a combined 130-78 during the 2011 campaign.
CWPA LEADERS
A quick look at this season's top scorers in the CWPA reveals a strong presence for the Hoosiers, as Jakie Köhli's 54 goals puts her in fifth, while the duo of Shae Fournier and Nicole Redder are in eighth with 51 goals each. Lauren Wyckoff's 47 goals is the 11th most in the conference.
Cassie Wyckoff has the second most saves in the CWPA with 281, which is also the third highest single-season save total for a Hoosier goalkeeper. Wyckoff has also moved into second on the all-time Indiana saves list with 685.
TWENTY-PLUS
For the fourth consecutive campaign and the 12th time in 14 seasons, the Hoosiers have surpassed the 20-win plateau. Indiana's 22 wins is the most in a single-season by an IU squad since 2006 when the Hoosiers racked up 24 victories. The school record for wins in a season is 26 by both the 1998 and 2003 teams.
EASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP REWIND
Last season, Indiana put together an impressive run to the Eastern Championship final, defeating Brown in the opening round and No. 2 seed Hartwick in the semifinals. The Hoosiers fell to top-seeded Michigan, 7-5, in the championship matchup. IU was the only team to place four players on the All-Tournament teams and head coach Barry King was named the "Doc Hunkler" Coach of the Tournament award.
