Three members of the No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers women's water polo team earned CWPA Western Division All-Conference honors on Thursday, the conference announced at the CWPA Eastern Championship Hall of Fame Banquet held at the Henke Hall of Champions.
Lauren Wyckoff was named to the All-Conference First Team, which marks her second career All-Conference honor. Jakie Köhli earned her third career All-Conference selection and was named to the Second Team. Shae Fournier joined Köhli on the Second Team and was also tabbed as the Western Division Rookie of the Year.
Wyckoff, a senior, started all 33 contests for the Hoosiers and led the team in assists (36) and earned exclusions (58). The Los Altos, Calif. native also registered 47 goals, including 16 multi-goal performances, along with 35 steals.
For her career, Wyckoff has totals of 158 goals, 133 assists, and 120 steals. She is the fifth Hoosier in program history to surpass 100 in each of those statistical categories. Wyckoff is sixth all-time on the IU scoring list and tied for second in assists.
Köhli led the scoring attack for the Hoosiers in 2011, notching a team-high 54 goals. She has posted regular season totals of 27 assists, 75 steals, 18 field blocks, and 26 earned kick-outs. The junior had seven games with at least three goals, as well as 20 multi-steal efforts.
Köhli has 163 goals, 93 assists, and 209 steals throughout her career. She is currently fifth in program history in total steals.
Fournier becomes the second Hoosier to pick up the Western Division Rookie of the Year award, as Köhli was tabbed in 2009. Fournier put together an impressive debut campaign, recording totals of 51 goals, 35 assists, 75 steals, 34 field blocks, and 15 earned exclusions.
