LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers are coming off a down to the wire 9-8 loss to No. 7 Michigan in a divisional game that was televised nationally on the Big Ten Network on March 26. Indiana was led in the scoring by Shae Fournier with three goals, while Jakie Köhli added two and a trio of Hoosiers notched one apiece. Despite the loss, Indiana has won 13 of its last 15 games, including four wins against ranked opponents.
MILESTONE WATCH
Head Coach Barry King enters the weekend within striking distance of his 300th victory, as he holds a 296-172-2 career record. King, in his 14th season at Indiana, also holds an impressive 101-19-1 mark in league play throughout his career.
RISING IN THE RECORD BOOK
The Indiana roster now features the fourth, fifth, and sixth top scorers in program history as Nicole Redder (161), Lauren Wyckoff (143 goals) and Jakie Köhli (142) have ascended up the all-time list. Redder has also made her way to a tie for fourth on the career steals list with 203 takeaways. Wyckoff moved up the Indiana all-time assists list after a pair of helpers against Michigan on March 26 moved the senior past Krista Peterson and into fourth with 119.
Junior Cassie Wyckoff reached the 200-save plateau for the second consecutive season after stopping 11 shots against Michigan. She has 209 blocks on the year, which equals her sophomore total and puts her in second among all CWPA goalkeepers. Wyckoff has moved ahead of Jackie Pyrz (598 saves) and into fourth on the Indiana career saves list with 613.
DISHING THE ROCK
Freshman Meghan Lappan has made a habit of finding teammates in scoring position, as the North Vancouver, B.C. native has a team-high nine multi-assist games. She has recorded at least one assist in nine straight contests, dating back to March 12 in a win over Cal State Bakersfield. Lappan has dished out 24 assists on the season, which is second on the squad to Shae Fournier's 27.
CWPA SUCCESS
History bodes well for the Hoosiers as they encounter the remainder of their divisional contests this weekend. Indiana has posted a 62-9 record in CWPA divisional play over the course of 10+ seasons. The Hoosiers have not lost more than one divisional game in a season since their CWPA debut campaign in 2001.
