Erdy Named Second Team All-Big Ten

David Erdy was recognized by the Big Ten Conference on Monday for his stellar play throughout the 2010-11 season as he was named Second Team All-Big Ten. Fellow junior Chase Wright was chosen as a Sportsmanship Award honoree.
The junior tandem has helped lead the Indiana Hoosiers to four team titles this season.
Erdy, a junior from Boonville, Ind., has a team-best season stroke average of 72.70 and has registered six top-10 finishes. Erdy tied for first at the Firestone Invitational on October 11-12 and tied for second at the adidas Hoosier Invitational on April 9-10. He collected the April 13 Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week award for his efforts at the Hoosier Invite.
Wright earns the Sportsmanship Award after competing at a high level throughout the 2010-11 season. The Muncie, Ind. native has posted four top-five finishes, including his recent tie for fifth at the Big Ten Championships. Wright has a season stroke average of 72.79.
