BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Tuesday will see the Hoosiers (27-20) travel down to Lexington to face rival Kentucky (21-27) in a non-conference matchup. Indiana currently sits tied for sixth in the Big Ten, while Kentucky is tied for fifth in the east division of a tough Southeastern Conference.
PROBABLE PITCHING MATCH-UP
LHP Brian Korte (2-3, 4.28) vs. LHP Taylor Rogers (2-6, 5.40)
Indiana was able to right the ship in conference play, taking two of three from Northwestern last weekend after being swept in consecutive series. They will look to keep the momentum going against a Wildcat squad that was able to steal a victory from national number one Vanderbilt in a three-game series last weekend.
Tuesday's 6:30 PM EST game will be available on Big Blue Sports Network television and on WHCC 105.1 FM radio in Bloomington. Gametracker live stats and live audio will also be available on IUHoosiers.com. The Big Blue Sports Network is affiliated with Fox SportsNet, so check your local listings to find which channel it airs on in your area.
Indiana's Wes Wilson and Chad Martin return home, both natives of Lexington.
Kentucky is led offensively by a pair of juniors in outfielder Chad Wright and infielder Thomas McCarthy, who both sport batting averages above .320. Wright's 14 stolen bases and McCarthy's .517 slugging percentage are both team bests. On the mound, junior Alex Meyer has been the Wildcats' clear number one with a sub-three ERA and 96 strikeouts in over 87 innings of work.
