Peaper Ties for Seventh at Rice Planters Amateur

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - Indiana rising junior Brant Peaper fired a 12-under 276 to finish tied for seventh at the 39th Rice Planters Amateur at Snee Farm Country Club on June 22-25.
Peaper was impressive throughout the week, recording rounds of 66-69-72-69 on his way to the top-10 showing. The Tequesta, Fla. native's 6-under 66 in the first round earned him a share of the lead after day one. Duke's Austin Cody won the event with an 18-under 270.
The Rice Planters Amateur was the inspiration of Dick Horne in 1973, being contested at Snee Farm Country Club since its inception. Tom Lehman, Davis Love III, Andy Bean, Mark O'Meara, Hal Sutton, Stewart Cink, and Scott Verplank have all competed at this prestigious world ranked amateur golf tournament.
