BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball will make four appearances on national television this season. The Big Ten announced its television schedule on Wednesday for the upcoming volleyball season, and the Hoosiers will play three games on the Big Ten Network and one on ESPN2.
The Hoosiers will play on ESPN2 when they visit Nebraska on Oct. 8, 2011, a game that will be broadcast via tape-delay on Oct. 9. Indiana's trip to Michigan State on October 26 will be broadcast live on the BTN. The Hoosiers will host Iowa and the BTN on Nov. 12, with the game tape-delayed on Nov. 13. The Hoosiers will also play before cameras at Ohio State on Nov. 20, a game broadcasted by the BTN.
With three of the four TV games on the road, Hoosier fans will get to see more IU Volleyball action than ever before. Head coach Sherry Dunbar is excited that the nation will get to see her team in action.
"We are excited to be on national television through the Big Ten Network and ESPN2 this upcoming season along with several matches streamed online," said Dunbar. "It is fantastic to get the exposure for our program and for Indiana University to showcase what we are building. This will give our fans across the country that can't see us in person a chance to get their fill of Indiana Volleyball."
