BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the first time, Indiana University is offering a season ticket package to fans for the 2011 IU Men's Soccer season. The Hoosiers are the defending Big Ten Champions and will play eight home matches on Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium.
Adult season tickets are $24, a savings of $16 off the regular $5-per-game price. Youth season tickets are just $8, a savings of $16 off the regular $3-per-game price. Children under 2 years of age still receive free admission.
As a thank you for purchasing season tickets, fans will receive an autographed team photo.
"Our coaching staff and student-athletes have been working tirelessly since January to prepare for this upcoming season," said head coach Todd Yeagley, who is entering his second season at the helm of the program and was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2010. "Our fans have packed Armstrong Stadium through the years, playing a key role in our success. We need your help to make 2011 a special year."
Tickets can be purchased by calling the IU ticket office at 1-866-IUSPORTS (487-7678). You can also visit IUHoosiers.com and download a season ticket application on the men's soccer home page.
Some of the top teams in the country will visit Armstrong Stadium this year, including NCAA Tournament participants Penn State, Louisville, Creighton, Michigan State and Ohio State. The home slate begins on Sept. 2 with the annual adidas IU Credit Union Classic, where the Hoosiers will face Saint Louis and Dayton (Sept. 4).
The 2011 season kicks off on Aug. 27 at Notre Dame.
