10 Hoosiers Named to 2011 CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team

10 members of the Indiana University women's water polo team earned spots on the 2011 Collegiate Water Polo Assocation (CWPA) Scholar-Athlete Team for their athletic and academic performance last season, announced on Tuesday by the CWPA.
The program honors student-athletes who have achieved grade point averages of 3.2 or higher and competed during the season. The team is selected on a level-based GPA scale that includes Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70), and Excellent (3.20-3.40).
A pair of Hoosiers, senior Kelsey Campbell and freshman Meghan Lappan, earned Outstanding distinction for their efforts. Campbell earned the accolade following each of her four seasons in Bloomington.
Seniors Kate Dunn, Nicole Redder, and Lauren Wyckoff each earned Superior status. The senior trio was joined by junior Megan Jacobs and freshmen Shae Fournier and Amanda Redfern on the Superior list. Juniors Hanna Eimstad and Jakie Köhli earned Excellent recognition.
Dunn and Redder, along with Campbell, have earned Scholar-Athlete Team status four straight years, while Eimstad, Jacobs, Köhli, and Wyckoff have each recorded three appearances.
