Big Ten Network Announces Field Hockey Broadcast Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana field hockey team will be featured on the Big Ten Network at least once during the fall season, the Network announced on Friday, Aug. 12.
The Hoosiers battle with Michigan State in Bloomington on Sunday, Oct. 9 will be a tape-delay broadcast that will air later on that day at 4 p.m. ET. IU has the potential to make additional appearances on the BTN with a wildcard game on Oct. 30 and the Big Ten Tournament, Nov. 4-6. This year's tournament semifinal will air live on Friday, Nov. 4 with the championship game airing live on Sunday, Nov. 6 from State College, Pa.
In addition to the Oct. 9 broadcast on the BTN, Indiana's game vs. Penn State on Friday, Oct. 7, will be streamed live on BTN.com at 3 p.m. ET from Bloomington.
Head coach Amy Robertson and the Hoosiers opened the preseason with practices on Wednesday, Aug. 10 and will play in a pair of scrimmages, beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Ohio State at 4 p.m. ET. IU will face Ball State in Bloomington in its final preseason scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. ET before opening the regular season against Miami (OH) at the IU Field Hockey Complex on Friday, Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. ET.
