Nine members of the Indiana Hoosiers women's water polo team were honored with 2011 Women's All-Academic Awards for their achievements during the past season, announced on Tuesday by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
The Hoosiers, with a team grade point average of 3.23, posted the 12th highest mark in the nation among women's water polo programs.
Student-athletes are selected on a level-based GPA scale that includes Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70), and Excellent (3.20-3.40).
Kelsey Campbell earned Outstanding distinction for the fourth consecutive season. Campbell was joined by Meghan Lappan among the top honorees.
Kate Dunn, Hanna Eimstad, Shae Fournier, Nicole Redder, Amanda Redfern, and Lauren Wyckoff each notched Superior recognition. Jakie Köhli was also honored with Excellent status for her efforts.
Dunn and Redder are four-time ACWPC All-Academic Award winners, while Eimstad and Wyckoff both picked up their third.
