BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - IU redshirt senior Brenna Moeljadi was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after helping lead the Hoosiers to back-to-back season-opening wins over Miami (OH) and No. 15 Duke.
Moeljadi, always a strong back for the Hoosiers, helped Indiana on both sides of the field in its first two home games. After scoring a goal against Miami on Friday and recording four shots on goal, Moeljadi put her defensive talents to work and tallied her seventh career defensive save against Duke, moving her into a tie at the top of the career record book at IU. She also recorded one shot on goal and assisted in the Hoosiers' game-winning goal in overtime. Moeljadi is now just one defensive save from setting a new career record at Indiana.
The Hoosiers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 3, when they play host to Ball State at 12 p.m. ET.
