Women's Soccer Holds First Official Practice

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University Women's Soccer head coach Mick Lyon is entering his 10th season with the Hoosiers in 2011 and got the season underway on Wednesday with the first official practice. The team has 14 letterwinners and nine starters returning from last years squad and also features a total of 13 true freshmen and redshirt freshmen.
The Hoosiers open the campaign on Aug. 19 at Armstrong Stadium against the Evansville Purple Aces at 7:30 p.m.
The three captains of the team - Kerri Krawczak, Carly Samp and Ciersten Burks - took time to talk about how the first day of practice went and what kind of excitement the team has going into the season.
