Hoosiers Fall at DePaul in Exhibition Match

The Indiana University Women's Soccer team suffered a 1-0 exhibition loss at DePaul on Sunday. The Hoosiers were outshot 8-4 in the contest with junior Orianica Velasquez registering two of those.
The Blue Demons were able to get on the board at 43:27 in the first half when Sarah Golden found Erin Pekovitch at the left side of the goal and Pekovitch put it home for the game-winner.
The Hoosiers had a number of players stand out in the game, including Ciersten Burks and Molly Buynak in the defensive back field as well as Abby Smith in the midfield.
The Hoosiers have eight true freshmen and five redshirt freshmen on the 2011 team and a total of 23 players got into the game in what will be the Hoosiers only exhibition match before opening the regular season on Aug. 19 at home against Evansville at 7:30 p.m. ET.
