Hoosiers Sweep the Purple Eagles

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball (6-2) defeated Niagara (5-5) in straight sets (25-22, 28-26, 25-18). Kelci Marschall and Morgan Leach led the way, tallying 10 and 11 kills respectively. Leach added four blocks to the Hoosier cause.
IU dug a hole in the first set, with Niagara taking a 15-9 lead, but the Hoosiers battled back, going on a 16-7 run to close the set with a 25-22 win. Leach hit .429 with four kills in the set.
In the second, the Hoosiers and Purple Eagles fought through a tight one with no one leading by more than three after Niagara took a 15-11 lead midway. The Hoosiers played tough, battling off two match points before taking the 28-26 win.
The third set saw the two teams trade points to a 10-10. The Hoosiers then took control, going on a 10-4 run before closing out the win, 25-18.
