| Meet Schedule of Events
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Cross Country teams will play host to the annual Indiana Intercollegiates on Friday, Sept. 16, at the IU Championship Cross Country Course. The meet consists of three races. The open race, featuring women running a 5K and men running an 8K, begins at 3:30 p.m. ET. The women's championship and men's championship races will follow after the open race.
The Hoosiers have been dominant in this yearly event as of late. The men's team has taken first place for three-consecutive years heading into Friday's meet, as the women have ran to the title in each of the last two seasons. At last year's event in West Lafayette, Ind., Chelsea Blanchard and Ben Hubers both took wins with Samantha Ginther and Zach Mayhew each taking second-place finishes in their respective championship races.
This is the second of three meets in which IU will host. The final meet in Bloomington for 2011 will be the Hoosier Invitational on Nov. 4.
