BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Mother Nature hampered with day two of the adidas Hoosier Classic as teams moved back-and-forth between the outdoor and indoor courts, but all scheduled matches were played without much delay.
IU freshman Carolyn Chupa kept her perfect singles weekend intact with a victory over Georgia's Kate Fuller, 7-6 (7), 6-3. Sophie Garre was also victorious with her first singles win of the season. Garre topped Kansas State's Carmen Borau giving up just three games, 6-0, 6-3. Shannon Murdy was triumphant over Georgia's Rachel Hart for her second collegiate singles win, 6-0, 6-3. Katie Klyczek earned a win over Julie Sabacinski from Notre Dame in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Diana Kyllmann played in her first singles match of the year and came out on top of Petra Chuda of KSU, 7-5, 6-0.
In doubles, Kyllmann teamed with Murdy to win two matches during the afternoon. The Hoosier duo of Kayla Fujimoto and Evgeniya Vertesheva also went a perfect 2-0 on the day.
