SETTING THE SCENE
• Indiana takes its unbeaten record on the road in Big Ten play for a match at Wisconsin.
• The Hoosiers have not allowed a goal over the last 339:29 minutes of play.

• Senior Alec Purdie tallied his conference-best third game-winning goal of the season with the match's lone score in the 78th minute.

SCOUTING THE BADGERS
• Wisconsin is unbeaten in its last four matches, going 2-0-2. The Badgers have wins over Drake (3-1) and Loyola Marymount (2-1) during the stretch, and ties with SIU-Edwardsville (1-1) and Marquette (1-1).
• Junior midfielder Tomislav Zadro is the team's leading scorer with two goals and five assists for nine points.
• Sophomore midfielder Joey Tennyson leads the team in goals scored with three, while senior forward Josh Thiermann and sophomore forward Chris Prince have two each.
• Sophomore Max Jentsch and sophomore Ciro Martinez have split time in goal, with Jentsch starting four matches, allowing four goals for a 0.90 GAA. Martinez has started five games, including Wednesday night's match with Marquette, and has allowed nine goals for a 1.71GAA.
• The Badgers are led by former Hoosier player and coach John Trask. He is assisted by Phil Presser, also a former IU player and coach, and Keith Tiemeyer.

PURDIE, SOFFNER NAB BIG TEN AWARDS
• For the second time this season, senior midfielder Alec Purdie and junior goalkeeper Luis Soffner have earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced Sept. 26.
• Purdie is the offensive player of the week for the second time this season, sharing this week's award with Ohio State's Chris Hegngi. Purdie tallied his Big Ten-best third game-winning goal of the season in Indiana's 1-0 win over No. 16 Penn State Friday night. Purdie now has a team-best five goals on the season and leads the Big Ten Conference in points (12), points per game (1.50), goals per game (0.62) and is tied with Hegngi for the top spot in goals scored.
• Soffner's second defensive player of the week award comes after posting his fourth solo shutout of the season in the win over Penn State. Soffner has not allowed a goal over the last 339:29 minutes and has already surpassed his shutout total from the 2010 season. Against the Nittany Lions he was credited with two saves and ranks second in the Big Ten in saves with 33. He currently leads the conference in goals-against average (0.49), save percentage (.892) and saves per game (4.12).
BIG TEN DOMINATION
• Since the Big Ten began sponsoring men's soccer in 1991, the Hoosier have dominated the league.
• The Hoosiers are 88-14-10 in regular season matches, tallying 30+ more victories than second-place team Penn State (57).
• Indiana has never lost in its Big Ten opener, going 18-0-3 in those matches.
• IU has won 11 Big Ten tournament titles, sharing the 1995 crown with Wisconsin.
• Indiana has also been crowned regular season champion 14 times, including nine-straight seasons from 1996-2004. IU won back-to-back regular season titles in 2006 and 2007 and re-claimed the regular season crown in 2010.
• Indiana has been the league's goals-against average leader in 15 of 19 seasons, including 2007 when the Hoosiers allowed just two goals in six matches for a 0.31 GAA.
• IU has had a league-record 11 Big Ten Players of the Year, including three of the last five seasons. Will Bruin won the award in 2010.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY
• The Hoosiers have scored on 17.5 percent of their shot attempts this season. The Hoosiers have taken 97 shots and scored 17 goals.
• That is tops in the Big Ten, with Wisconsin next on the list at 15 percent (13/95). Michigan leads the conference in shot attempts (167) but has just 13 goals for a seven percent average.

• Indiana jumped one spot to No. 6 in this week's Soccer America poll and NSCAA top 25.
• The Hoosiers moved up one spot in the College Soccer News top-30, up to No. 5. IU moves up one spot to No. 5 in the week 5 Top Drawer Soccer Tournament 48.
• Indiana stays at No. 3 in the Goal.com top 25 and are up one to No. 6 in MLSSoccer.com top 20. Indiana is also No. 6 in this week's Soccer Times top 25.

• The Hoosiers are at the top of the standings in several Big Ten statistical categories.
• Alec Purdie leads the Big Ten in points (12), with Eriq Zavaleta tied for fourth (8) and Blake Wise is tied for seventh (7).
• Purdie also leads the league in points per game (1.50), goals scored (5), game-winning goals (3) and goals per game (0.62).
