
IU's Crimson Squad Wins UCA National Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University's Crimson all-female cheerleading squad came away with the 2012 UCA College National Championship on Saturday, Jan. 14 in Orlando, Fla.
The Crimson Squad won the All-Girl division, which is one of the toughest divisions at the college championships beating out Morehead State, San Diego State, Minnesota, Florida State, South Florida, Western Kentucky, Rutgers and Temple in the finals. Indiana also fielded a co-ed squad comprised of members from its Cream and Crimson squads and finished No. 4 nationally in the National Championships' Small Co-Ed division.
Additionally, Crimson Squad members Angela Stilwell, Caity Hinshaw, Natalie Skizas, Kirby Lynch and Courtney Byrne were selected to the 2012 Team USA All-Girl Squad which will seek to defend its World Championship gold medal in April at Orlando. Stilwell and Hinshaw were members of Team USA that won the 2011 gold medal.
