BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana women's tennis will open its home dual schedule this Saturday at the IU Tennis Center. The Hoosiers will battle Western Michigan at 11 a.m. ET, and then take on Butler at 4 p.m. ET.
Indiana topped WMU and Butler last season in dual match play. The Hoosiers are coming off a win over UNC Greensboro last weekend after falling to No. 3 Duke to begin dual play for the season. IU freshman Carolyn Chupa is currently ranked No. 79 nationally in singles. Her classmate, Kate Klyczek, hopes to continue her stellar play as she has a 12-2 record so far this season.
After a few setbacks last weekend, the doubles tandem on sophomore Kayla Fujimoto and senior Evgeniya Vertesheva hope to get back on track this weekend. Fujimoto and Vertesheva hold a 14-4 mark when playing together so far this season.
