IU Volleyball a Hit at Edgewood's Girls' Night Out

ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball Head Coach Sherry Dunbar was a special guest at Edgewood Intermediate School on Thursday night, as the school hosted "Girls' Night Out". Dunbar and her team were in attendance as 250 female third through fifth graders participated in a night of empowerment for young girls.
The even featured a 25-minute speech from Dunbar, who is an Ellettsville native and attended Edgewood, and activity stations where girls interacted with the IU Volleyball team.
Indiana Volleyball spends each spring giving back to the local community through several outreach programs and regular volunteer work at four local organizations. In addition to the team's efforts in the spring, the Hoosiers sign autographs and meet and greet with local children after each home match during the season.
