BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Adam Replogle is expected to make his 40th career start against Michigan State Saturday afternoon. The senior defensive tackle will serve as a game captain for the fifth time in as many games this season.
Replogle sat down with IUHoosiers.com for a quick Q&A
`SCORE SIX' WITH Adam Replogle
1. With a long list of Replogle's in Indiana Football, what is it about IU that attracted you to the program?
It's a great place. They are dedicated to football and we're starting something special. I'm happy to be a part of that.
2. Your older brother Tyler (IU linebacker; 2007-10) took an interesting trip recently?
Yeah, he went over to Egypt for about two months, working for Coca-Cola. He also did some community service over there. He participated with a group that provided food for underprivileged children. A really cool experience.
3. You've now made 40 starts, talk about your longevity:
It's awesome. I've been pretty fortunate to stay injury-free. My body feels good, so I'm ready to finish the season strong and keep the streak going.
4. Quickly approaching IU's all-time top-10 for career sacks, what would that mean to you?
It would be a great feeling to leave IU knowing that my name is in the record book. Knowing that I made a difference and left a mark.
5. How does it feel being named a team captain by your coaches and teammates?
I feel very fortunate, very honored. Not many people can say that they've been the captain of a Big Ten football team; and fortunately enough I can.
6. You've won numerous academic and sportsmanship awards already. Now, you're currently a candidate for the AFCA Good Works and Senior CLASS Awards. Talk about the importance of being a well-rounded student-athlete?
It's the little things. If you handle what you have to do off the field, you're going to do well on the field. There is a lot more to being a student-athlete, a man, than just what goes on in between the lines. Indiana Football is embracing that, and I'm excited about it.
