Tennis Wraps Up Action at Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Indiana men's tennis sent freshmen Chris Essick and Daniel Bednarczyk to the Louisville Winter Invitational this weekend, where they took seventh and eighth in the singles draw and combined for a fifth-place finish in doubles.
Bednarczyk knocked off Essick in the seventh-place match by a 6-1, 6-1 score. Bednarczyk finished the tournament with a 2-2 record in singles play, while Essick went 1-3, winning his first round match over Louisville's Jeff Brown, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7).
In doubles, the pair went 3-1, eventually winning a 9-8 (4) match over Kevin Deligny and and David Clifford of Morehead State for fifth place.
