Ferrell Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana guard Kevin (Yogi) Ferrell has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday, Nov. 12.
Ferrell, a native of Indianapolis, scored 10 points in his collegiate debut, helping Indiana to a 97-54 win over Bryant. He recorded seven assists, five rebounds, one block and one steal in 24 minutes of action. Ferrell began the season in the Indiana starting lineup, marking the sixth straight season at least one freshman has started in the Hoosiers' season opener.
Indiana's last Big Ten Freshman of the Week was Cody Zeller (March 5, 2012). Ferrell and the Hoosiers open the Progressive Legends Classic on Monday night in Bloomington vs. North Dakota State at 7 p.m. ET.
