BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Fifth-year senior tight end Charles Love III took a few minutes to speak with IUHoosiers.com prior to Saturday's home finale against Wisconsin. Here is what he had to say:
What's it like playing for Coach Littrell?
"It's fun. It's all about being focused, playing physical, coming out everyday ready to roll and ready to work."
How does it feel to be playing again after suffering the ACL injury last preseason?
"I'm just glad to be back on the field, back to playing football. Happy to back, being part of an effective offense and something great."
After sitting out with the injury and coming back for a fifth season, how did it feel to score a touchdown against UMass in Gillette Stadium?
"It felt good. I'm happy to score a touchdown, but I'm more happy we won as a team."
How do you see the direction of the IU Football program?
"Oh man, we are headed in a great direction. We are going to be Big Ten Champions soon, I really do believe that. The program is growing and I can just see it all molding together."
Thoughts on your final game in Bloomington last Saturday?
"I'm just a happy senior right now. Glad to be back on the field. My family came to watch me play my final home game. It was a special day."
What will you miss most about Bloomington?
"Being around the team. Being around the coaches. I'm really going to miss being a part of a team."
