Get to Know LB David Cooper

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - David Cooper collected 102 tackles, two sacks, 13 tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, one interception and one forced fumble at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College in 2011.
Cooper is one of two linebackers, along with Jacarri Alexander, and six junior college transfers currently enrolled in spring semester classes and will participate in spring practice, which begins on March 3.
The 6-1, 230-pounder earned honorable mention Jayhawk Conference honors for head coach Darian Dulin last season. He redshirted the 2010 campaign.
A native of Lilburn, Ga., Cooper played linebacker at Brookwood High School. He earned first team All-Gwinnett County recognition for head coach Mark Crews.
Cooper's parents are David and Pamela Cooper. Born on Nov. 20, 1991, David Clarence Cooper is an exploratory student.
