Women's Golf Heads to Westbrook Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's golf team continues its spring season this Sunday and Monday (Feb. 26-27) at the Westbrook Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin at the Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Ariz.
The 12-team field features Wisconsin, Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Idaho, Texas-El Paso, and Washington State.
The field will participate in a 54-hole invitational to be played on the par 72, 6,178-yard Westbrook Village Golf Club Vistas Course. Playing in threesomes, the teams will play 36 holes Sunday in a shotgun format starting at 10:30 a.m. ET. Pairings for the final 18 holes on Monday will be determined by score. Monday's shotgun start will be at 10:30 a.m. ET. The low four individual scores will determine the team score for each round.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 14th-place finish at the Central District Invitational last week to open the spring schedule. Senior Kristtini Cain and junior Pamela Burneski led the way with both finishing tied for 42nd with a three-round score of 230. Cain posted rounds of 76-75-79, while Burneski had the low round of the tournament for IU with a 72 in the final 18 to go with rounds of 80 and 78.
