No. 11 Hoosiers Geared Up for Aztec Invitational

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
The No. 11 Indiana Hoosiers women's water polo team (19-4, 1-1 CWPA West) will put its eight-game winning streak on the line at the Aztec Invitational on March 16-18 hosted by San Diego State. The Hoosiers will compete in a four-game slate that includes three ranked opponents.
Indiana will get the weekend underway on Friday with a 4:00 p.m. meeting against No. 14 Hawai'i. On Saturday, the Hoosiers clash with No. 19 UC San Diego at 10:30 a.m. and No. 8 San Diego State at 2:15 p.m. A rematch from last weekend's Roadrunner Invitational is on deck for Sunday as the Hoosiers take on Wagner at 8:00 a.m.

A LOOK BACK...
The Hoosiers began their spring break trip at the Roadrunner Invitational on March 10-11. The Cream and Crimson finished a perfect 4-0 at the event, including three one-goal victories. The Hoosiers also won a pair of early week matchups with Marist, 10-6, and Redlands, 14-7.
PROGRAM BEST
The Hoosiers have produced the best record through 23 games in program history at 19-4. The 1998 Indiana team was 18-4-1 and went on to finish the year at 26-9-1. The school record for single-season wins is 26, set by the 1998, 2003, and 2011 squads.
RECORD WATCH
Sophomore Shae Fournier is on a record pace this season in the scoring department with 65 goals for an average of 2.83 goals per game. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native is seventh on the single-season scoring list and within reach of the record of 80 goals set by Jakie Köhli in 2010. Fournier has moved to 10th on the all-time goals list with 126.
HEATING UP
Freshman Summer Creighton was on fire in Redlands, Calif., scoring seven goals in two games for the Hoosiers. Creighton posted a hat trick against Marist, scoring each goal in a span of 1:05 during the third quarter of the win. She followed it up with a career-high four goals in a win against Redlands.
