Erdy Named Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior David Erdy has been selected as the Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week after his stellar performance at the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship, announced the Big Ten office on Wednesday.

Erdy came through with an undefeated 4-0 performance at the match play event, leading the Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team to a fifth place finish and a 3-1 team record.

The Boonville, Ind. native opened the event with a 4&2 victory over Kennesaw State's Peder Hermannson. Erdy notched a 1-up win against Duke's Tim Gornik in the second round. He followed that up with a 3&2 triumph over Tennessee's Marshall Talkington and a 4&3 win versus Eastern Carolina's Eric Brady.

The weekly award marks the third of Erdy's career and his first this season. He shares the award with Michigan's Matt Thompson.
