Ferrell Wins Second Consecutive IHSAA 2A State Title

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's basketball signee Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell led Park Tudor to its second consecutive IHSAA Class 2A State Championship on Saturday, March 24, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis with a 79-57 win over Gary Bowman.
Ferrell, a 5-11 point guard, finished with a championship game record of 12 assists, to go along with 17 points and nine rebounds, just one board short of a triple-double. He led Park Tudor to an overall record of 25-2. The Panthers also tied the 2A finals team record with 10 made 3's on 22 attempts.
Ferrell, who was recently became the 26th Hoosier to be named a McDonald's All-American, was averaging nearly 18 points and six assists per game this season. In 2011, Ferrell averaged 18.7 points and 6.6 assists per game. He led Park Tudor to a 26-2 record and a 2A state title. He was named First Team All-State by the Associated Press and was an Indiana Junior All-Star.
