IU Field Hockey Recognized by NFHCA for Academic Success

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana field hockey team was recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as one of 65 programs to record a team grade point average if 3.0 or higher. The Hoosiers, who were one of seven Big Ten teams honored, also boasted eight players on the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
IU's list includes Brooke Borneman, Hannah Boyer, Corey Brautigam, Morgan Fleetwood, Katie Griswold, Corinne Karch, Gaby Olshemski and Becky Pany. Fleetwood and Griswold are four-year honorees on the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
Indiana opens the spring season on March 31 with a trip to Louisville, Ky., for an 11 vs. 11 Tournament.
