BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 41 Indiana women's tennis team will begin its Big Ten schedule on Friday, March 9, against rival Purdue. The match will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET at the IU Tennis Center in Bloomington.
IU now has a record of 11-3 on the season. The Hoosiers jumped up 25 spots in this week's ITA National Rankings as their non-conference schedule came to a close. Indiana is currently riding a three-match win streak and hopes to keep that momentum heading into conference action.
The No. 68 Boilermakers will arrive in Bloomington with a 6-1 record on the year. In last year's meeting, Purdue got the best of Indiana in West Lafayette, 4-3. The Boilers are led by Lynda Xepoleas, as she is ranked No. 124 in the national singles rankings. Purdue's only loss this year came at then-No. 14 Clemson. Since that time, the Boilermakers have won five-consecutive matches.
