Volleyball Concludes Spring on Saturday at U-Gym

Indiana Volleyball concludes the spring season by hosting Indiana State and Illinois State this Saturday at U-Gym. The event is open and free to the public and starts at 10 a.m. ET. The Hoosiers will play the Sycamores and Redbirds in competitive drills and scrimmaging.
Indiana State went 14-17 a year ago, and returns their top player, Morgan Dall. Dall led the Sycamores with 299 kills a year ago and averaged 4.46 per set, all while missing 11 matches. Monique Morris also returns after posting 277 kills last season.
Illinois State 18-14 last season, and they return their top hitter (Shannon McGlaughlin), top blocker (Emily Schneider) and their top defender (Jenny Menendez). McLaughlin led the Redbirds with 419 kills (3.41 per set) a year ago. Schneider denied opponents 105 times last season, and Menendez recorded 563 digs (4.58 per set).
The Hoosiers open the Fall season on August 24, 2012, when they visit West Point, N.Y., for the Black Knight Invitational.
