Hoosiers in Fifth after Day One at the Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team (No. 37 Golfstat, No. 43 Golfweek/Sagarin) posted a 19-over 595 (301-294) through two rounds of the Boilermaker Invitational at the Kampen Course to tie for fifth.
Kent State and Iowa are tied atop the leaderboard at 11-over 587, followed by Illinois (589) and Wichita State (590). Wichita State's Rafael Becker is leading individually with a 4-under 140 (71-69).
Senior David Erdy is leading the way for Indiana and is tied for fourth at 1-over 145 (73-72). Erdy's steady second round featured a birdie, a bogey, and 16 pars.
Erdy is joined in the top-10 by fellow senior Chase Wright who came up with an even-par 72 in the second round to notch a two-round total of 2-over 146 (74-72) and is tied for seventh. The Muncie, Ind. native had seven birdies on the day.
Sophomore David Mills put together a pair of 75s on Saturday to tie for 25th at 6-over 150.
Junior Brant Peaper is tied for 41st at 10-over 154 (79-75), followed by junior Corey Ziedonis tied for 56th with a 13-over 157 (82-75).
