Skeete Advances on Day One at USA Juniors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana's Owen Skeete made his debut as a Hoosier on Friday, donning the Cream and Crimson for the first time after redshirting this year as a true freshman. He started his redshirt freshman campaign by advancing to the finals of the USA Track and Field Junior Championships in the 1,500 meters.
Skeete took sixth in the first heat with a time of 3:51.63. He advanced based on time, as he was faster than the winning time in the second heat. Skeete will run in the 1,500m final at 3:45 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Brie Roller also ran for the Hoosiers on day one. She was unable to advance to the finals in the 800 meters. She clocked a time of 2:16.16 for 18th.
