Hoosiers Wrap-Up U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials

OMAHA, Neb. - Indiana University swimmers wrapped up their stay at the U.S. Olympic Swimming trials with the 50-meter freestyle and 1,500-meter freestyle Sunday afternoon in Omaha, Neb.
Senior Jim Barbiere posted a time of 15:43.74 in the men's 1,500-meter freestyle to finish 35th overall. Former Hoosier John Kevin Koehler placed 75th in the race with his time of 16:07.72.
Sara Delay, who is making a comeback after a serious illness, finished with a time of 26.72 in her first major meet in two years, good for 125th overall.
In other Olympic news, Hoosier All-American and 2010 NCAA Champion Kate Fesenko has been named to the Ukrainian Olympic Team as a member of the 800 freestyle relay. This will be Fesenko's third Olympic games as she represented Ukraine at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Games.
Fesenko joins Margaux Farrell (France), Dorina Szekeres (Hungary) and Nicholas Schwab (Dominican Republic) as IU swimmers who have qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games.
