BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Rising sophomore Luke Harrison hurled a no-hitter for his summer league club, the DeKalb County Liners, pushing his squad to a 1-0 victory. It was the first no-hitter in team history, and is believed to be the first no-no in the history of the Midwest Collegiate League (founded in 2011).
Harrison needed just 109 pitches to complete his masterpiece, walking four and striking out three. On the season, he is 6-0 with a 1.39 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 52-1/3 innings of work. He has a WHIP of 1.01 and opponents are batting just .176 against him.
The Liners are 28-15 and in first place of the league standings as of July 30.
