Vaughn Takes Gold at NACAC U-23 Championships

GUANIJUATO, Mex. - Chris Vaughn capped his redshirt junior year with a gold medal performance at the North America, Central America, Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships on Sunday. Vaughn won gold as the second carry for the United States' 4x400m relay. Vaughn and Andy Bayer both earned gold medals for the U.S. at the meet.
Vaughn, a Nolensville, Tenn., native helped the Americans to a time of 3:03.81 and the NACAC title, which was a half second faster than the second-place quartet from Bahamas. Vaughn comes back in 2013 for one final season of eligibility.
