Tim Bennett Joins Indiana Football Program

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson announced Wednesday that cornerback Tim Bennett has joined the IU football program. Bennett is eligible for the 2012 season and has three years of eligibility remaining.
The 5-9, 181-pound Bennett earned all region honors at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa, in 2011. He recorded 50 tackles, 35 solo, with one interception and one tackle for loss.
A native of Columbus, Ga., and a Northside High School graduate, Bennett was a 2010 Ledger-Enquirer All-Bi-City first team selection. He posted 102 stops, 67 solo, with three interceptions and five tackles for loss.
Bennett was born on Feb. 19, 1993, and intends to study exercise science.
