Mills Concludes Play at U.S. Amateur Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - David Mills, a junior on the IU Men's Golf team, shot rounds of 72 and 79 to finish at +10 overall and tied for 199th place, missing the cut to advance to the match play portion of the U.S. Amateur hosted by Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills, Colo.
The native of Evansville, Ind., shot a two-over par 72 in the first round at CommonGround Golf Course on day one of the tournament, sitting just one stroke outside the top 64 that advance to the match play portion of the tournament.
Then on day two, playing Cherry Hills Country Club, Mills was not able to get any momentum on the day and finished with a eight-over par 79, giving him a two-day total of 151 (+10) and tied for 199th place out of 311 golfers.
