Hoosiers Picked as B1G Preseason Favorites

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Big Ten Conference released is 2012 men's soccer preseason coaches' poll with Indiana and Northwestern picked as co-favorites to win the conference title.
Following the Hoosiers and Wildcats were Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan. Northwestern is the defending Big Ten regular season and conference champion. The Hoosiers have won 14 regular-season titles and 11 tournament titles.
Indiana was 3-1-2 in conference play last season and owns a Big Ten best all-time record of 90-15-12. The Hoosiers were 13-4-5 overall in 2011, advancing to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight year.
The Big Ten announcement also included a preseason players to watch list, with junior midfielder Jacob Bushue, junior midfielder Nikita Kotlov and sophomore forward Eriq Zavaleta among those selected.
