BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Seniors Will Matte and Adam Replogle will serve as captains for the fourth time in as many games when Indiana opens Big Ten play at Northwestern on Saturday. Matte, a fifth-year center from Wheaton, Ill., has been a mainstay on the Hoosier offensive line since his arrival in Bloomington. His efforts have not gone unnoticed by the national awards pundits, earning a spot on the Rimington Trophy Watch List this preseason. Matte has 36 career starts, including his first 32 games.
Replogle, a defensive tackle, has appeared in all 39 games in his career and has started the last 38. He is second on the team with 1.5 sacks and 18 tackles through three games. Replogle was elected a 2011 season captain and owns 131 tackles, 11.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in his career.
