Hoosiers Fall to Butler in Four

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball (6-3) lost in four sets to Butler (18-25, 20-25, 25-15, 14-25). IU got 16 kills and 11 digs from Jordan Haverly in the match. Freshman Katie Gallagher was named to the all-tournament team, and she finished with 36 assists and 14 digs for her third double-double of the year.
Haverly recorded the sixth double-double of her season. The Hoosiers got eight kills from both Kelci Marschall and Samantha Thrower, with Thrower also adding six blocks. Caitlin Hansen had a career-high 21 digs. Gallagher had 36 assists and 14 digs.
In the first set, Butler won 25-18, coming out and getting a lead quickly. IU hit just .024 in the set, getting four kills from Haverly and three from Thrower.
The second set was a similar story with the Bulldogs taking it 25-20. Haverly had seven kills and Hansen added eight digs in the frame.
The Hoosiers came out of the locker room and took control in the third set, taking a 25-14 win. Haverly had four kills, Thrower had five blocks and Hansen had seven digs. IU cut back on the errors in the set with just one, hitting .263. IU had six total blocks in the set.
The fourth set started out well for IU, but the Bulldogs were able to get back in control in the middle and then power to a the match win 25-14. Butler had six blocks in the set and hit .273.
