A Dominant Saturday for IU Women's Tennis

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team had another stellar day at the Adidas IU Winter Invite on Saturday as the Hoosiers went 6-1 in singles and 6-2 in doubles play.
In singles, Alecia Kauss topped Rachel Stuhlman from Missouri in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3, in the second flight. Sophie Garre won each set by a tiebreaker over Mizzou's Elisha Gabb in flight No. 3.
IU's Katie Klyczek was dominant for the second day in a row over Missouri's Alex Clark, 6-1, 6-1. Carolyn Chupa picked up another singles win for the Hoosiers defeating Maria Christensen, 6-4, 7-5.
Indiana's final two singles victories came from Gabrielle Rubenstein and Jithme Jayawickrema. Rubenstein topped Madison Rhyner in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, as Jayawickrema took care of Marquette's Ali Dawson, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles, three Hoosier combos went a perfect 2-0 each on the day in Hureau and Garre, Chupa and Rubenstein, and Kauss and Klyczek.
The final day of the Adidas IU Winter Invite will take place on Sunday with play beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
