BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Big Ten Conference announced television games and times for the 2013-14 Indiana women's basketball season on Tuesday. The Hoosiers are guaranteed six games that will be aired live on BTN and an additional two contests will be decided upon later in the season for a national telecast. The majority of IU's remaining games will be available online through the Big Ten Digital Network (BTDN).
"The Big Ten Network gives our program incredible exposure and will continue to help us build the new era of IU women's basketball," head coach Curt Miller said. "We are excited about the announcement of the possibility to play as many as eight nationally televised games during the 2013-14 season. Other games will continue to be streamed live at BTN.com."
The Hoosiers will make their BTN debut against in-state rival Purdue on Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. ET in West Lafayette. Later that week, IU will host Ohio State in Assembly Hall for a 4:30 p.m. tip on BTN. The next televised game for Indiana will be at Iowa on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. ET.
IU's other BTN games include Wisconsin (Feb. 8 at 1 p.m.), at Nebraska (Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.) and Illinois (Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m.).
Indiana's final two games of the regular season (at Minnesota on Feb. 27 and at Michigan State on March 2) are considered wildcard television games and will receive possible TV designation in the weeks leading up to those contests.
