Indiana Postgame Notes
• Indiana remained perfect in exhibition play over the last 10 years (16-0) when playing against NCAA Division II or III opponents.
• The 54 total rebounds in the game would be more than any game during the 2013-14 season. The last time IU grabbed as many or more rebounds as that in a game was Dec. 29, 2007, against Chicago State.
• The 21 offensive rebounds are the most since grabbing 24 against Michigan on March 10, 2013.
• The Hoosiers attempted 67 shots in the game, a total IU surpassed four times last year.
• USI opened the game by taking a 2-0 lead, but the Hoosiers went on 11-2 run over the next two minutes - led by a pair of thunderous dunks by Noah Vonleh.
• USI also cut the lead to 44-42 early in the second half but the Hoosiers responded with a 18-7 run to cruise the victory.
• Indiana committed just 12 team fouls in the game while drawing 23 from USI.
• The Hoosiers also had the fast break working all night, scoring 23 points in transition to just two for USI.
• Sophomore Kevin Yogi Ferrell led all scorers with 20 points (6-of-10 shooting from 3-point range) in 31 minutes. If the stats were to count, it would have been Ferrell's highest scoring game of his young career.
• Senior Will Sheehey scored 10 points, snatched four rebounds and collected two steals.
• Graduate student Evan Gordon, making his IU debut, scored six points and had five rebounds.
• Sophomore Jeremy Hollowell dropped in 13 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists in 21 minutes.
• Freshman Troy Williams recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in his IU debut, while adding three blocked shots.
• Another freshman, Noah Vonleh, was dominant inside, scoring nine points and hauling in 12 rebounds in 23 minutes of action. He also had two steals and a blocked shot.
• Sophomore Hanner Mosquera-Perea had a strong second half and finished with nine points, including 5-of-5 at the free throw line, to go with five rebounds, one block and one steal.
• Redshirt sophomore Austin Etherington made his return to the court after missing most of last year with a knee injury and made all four of his free throws for his four points. He also added two rebounds and two steals.
• Freshman Luke Fischer registered two points and grabbed five rebounds in 11 minutes off the bench. He also dished out two assists.
• Senior Jeff Howard grabbed one rebound in five minutes off the bench.
• Senior Taylor Wayer, freshman Joe Fagan and Freshman Andrew Calomeris all played one minute.
• Sophomore Peter Jurkin logged two minutes of game action.
• Redshirt sophomore Jonny Marlin played three minutes and grabbed one board and had a steal in his IU debut.
• Freshman Collin Hartman played three minutes.
