BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Closing out the 2013 campaign on Senior Day, the Indiana football team (4-7, 2-5 Big Ten Leaders) will host Purdue (1-10, 0-7 Big Ten Leaders) on Saturday, Nov. 30. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EST at Memorial Stadium (52,929; FieldTurf) and BTN will televise the game.
Twenty-one Hoosier seniors will take the field for the final time on Saturday.
The longtime rivals will battle for the Old Oaken Bucket, the trophy awarded to the winner of the annual game. Saturday's meeting marks the 89th battle for the Bucket and the 116th overall meeting.
THE COACHES Darrell Hazell is in his first season as Purdue head coach. Hazell posted a 16-10 (.615) record as Kent State head coach (2011-12) and holds a 17-20 (.460) overall mark.
NEWS & NOTES • Kofi Hughes collected a career-high nine receptions for 120 yards against the Buckeyes.
• Indiana has already set single-season program records with 5,410 total yards, 30 passing touchdowns and 54 total touchdowns. IU is scoring 36.8 points per game and averaging 491.8 total yards per game, which would break the current marks of 33.0 (1988) and 442.0 (2012).
• The Hoosiers 405 points are just seven shy of the school record of 412 (2007).
• Indiana is the only team in the FBS with four players with 100 receptions and 1,000 yards in their careers, the first team since 2011 (Houston and Texas A&M) and the first Big Ten team since 2008 (Northwestern).
• IU is the first team in Big Ten history, the only team in the FBS and the first team since 2011 (Houston) with five 1,000-yard pass-catchers playing together at one time.
• Cody Latimer (128; 1,932), Kofi Hughes (129; 1,902), Shane Wynn (126; 1,438) and Ted Bolser (114; 1,321) have reached 100 and 1,000, while Duwyce Wilson (84 and 1,068) has surpassed 1,000 yards.
• Bolser, who is one of eight semifinalists for the John Mackey Award, is the Hoosiers all-time tight ends leader in yardage and TDs (14) and is second in catches. Bob Stephenson (1978-81) holds the all-time record with 115.
• The Hoosiers have the sixth-fewest three-and-outs nationally, doing so 27 times in 156 drives (17.3 percent).
• Indiana has forced 17 turnovers (10 fumbles) and converted them into 77 points this season.
• Defensive tackle Ralphael Green earned Big Ten co-Freshman of the Week honors. Green recorded his first career sack and forced fumble, and he added career-highs with two TFLs and four solo stops at Ohio State.
