Hoosiers fall 4-3 at Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich - The Indiana field hockey team built a 3-1, but could not hold on as they fell 4-3 at Michigan on Sunday.
The first 35 minutes yielded no goals and it wasn't until the 36:41 mark that junior Audra Heilman put the Hoosiers on the board first with a goal and assist to Corinne Karch. Heilman's goal is her 19th of her career and ties her for seventh on the Hoosiers all-time list.
After a goal from Sydney Supica and another from Hannah McDermott the Hoosiers (9-9, 1-5) were up 3-1 with 18 minutes and 19 seconds remaining in the game.
Michigan (12-7, 4-2) scored three goals in the final 12 minutes, the last with 1:22 to play to give them the go-ahead goal.
Maggie Olson recorded three saves for the Hoosiers and Supica tallied a defensive save for the contest.
Up next the Hoosiers travel to Columbus, Ohio for the Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers earned the No. 6 seed and will play No. 3 seed Michigan State on Thursday Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Buckeye Varsity Field.
