BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana football team (3-5, 1-3 Big Ten Leaders) hosts Illinois (3-5, 0-4 Big Ten Leaders) on Saturday, Nov. 9. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EST at Memorial Stadium (52,929; FieldTurf) and BTN will televise the game.
The teams have split the last 10 meetings, with IU earning a 31-17 road victory last season.
Illinois leads the overall series, 45-23-2, and holds a 15-13-1 edge in Bloomington.
THE COACHES
Kevin Wilson is in his third season as Indiana head coach. Wilson spent the 2002-10 seasons at Oklahoma, where he served as co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach from 2002-05 and as offensive coordinator and tight ends and fullbacks coach from 2006-10.
Tim Beckman is 5-15 (.250) in his second season as Illinois head coach. Beckman served as Toledo head coach from 2009-11 and owns a 26-31 (.456) career mark.
NEWS & NOTES
• Indiana has scored 28-or-more points in nine straight games dating back to last season, a program record.
• The Hoosiers have thrown for 300 yards six times this season and in nine of their last 12 games.
• For the second time this season, Stephen Houston (111) and Tevin Coleman (108) went over 100 yards in the same game against Minnesota. The last time two IU running backs accomplished the feat in a Big Ten game came back in 2003 against Northwestern - BenJarvus Green-Ellis (136) and Brian Lewis (128).
• Indiana is the only team in the FBS with four players with 100 receptions and 1,000 yards in their careers, the first team since 2011 (Houston and Texas A&M) and the first Big Ten team since 2008 (Northwestern).
• The Hoosiers are the first team in Big Ten history, the only team in the FBS and the first team since 2011 (Houston) with five 1,000-yard pass-catchers playing together at one time.
• Shane Wynn (113; 1,315), Kofi Hughes (116; 1,722), Ted Bolser (110; 1,296) and Cody Latimer (107; 1,641) have reached 100 and 1,000, while Duwyce Wilson (80 and 1,036) has surpassed 1,000 yards.
• Bolser is IU's all-time tight ends leader in yardage and touchdowns (14) and is second in catches. Bob Stephenson (1978-81) holds the all-time record with 115.
• IU has the third fewest three-and-outs in the country, doing so just 18 times in 118 drives (15.3 percent).
• Indiana is T-8th nationally in 60-plus yard plays (5), T-4th in 50-plus yarders (10), 2nd in 40-plus yarders (21), 4th in 30-plus yarders (31) and T-7th in 20-plus yarders (60).
• The Hoosiers have forced 13 turnovers (eight fumbles) and converted them into 70 points this season.
• Mitch Ewald is IU's all-time leader in field goals, field goal percentage, extra points and total points (kickers). He is 7-of-7 (FGs) and 39-of-39 (PATs) in 2013 and one of six kickers nationally without a miss (min. 5 FGs).
