• Indiana improves to 2-0 in the all-time series vs. Nicholls State and is 65-19 (.774 winning pct.) since 2011-12. The Hoosiers are 43-3 at Assembly Hall (tied with Syracuse for most home wins in that time frame).
• IU won its eighth consecutive game at Assembly Hall and has won 37 straight non-conference games on Branch McCracken Court.
• The Hoosiers responded with a win following a loss for the 16th consecutive time dating back the 2011-12 season.
• Indiana had 11 players score in the game, marking the sixth time this season 10-or-more players have found the scoring column. All 18 Hoosiers played in the game for the third time this season.
• The Hoosiers shot 24-of-44 (54.5 percent) from the field, the fourth time this season they have shot 50 percent or better. IU shot 15-of-24 (62.5 percent) in the second half.
• Indiana connected on 26-of-35 from the free throw line (74.3 percent) compared to Nicholls State 6-of-10 from the charity stripe. It's the sixth time this season Indiana has made more free throws than their opponent has attempted and it is 6-0 in those games.
• After falling behind 9-7 in the first half, the Hoosiers responded with a 10-0 run to take a 17-9 lead and held Nicholls State scoreless for a period of 5:39.
• Sophomore Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell ignited the Hoosiers in the second half with 10 points, seven assists and zero turnovers and finished the game with 16 points and a season-high eight assists. Ferrell scored in double digits for the 22nd game of his career.
• Senior Will Sheehey scored 14 points (his 37th career double-figure scoring game) and has scored a combined 36 points in the Hoosiers last two games. Sheehey also collected one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal.
• Sophomore Jeremy Hollowell tallied his fifth double-figure scoring game with 14 points.
• Freshman Noah Vonleh scored six points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
• Freshman Stanford Robinson netted eight points and grabbed three rebounds.
• Sophomore Hanner Mosquera-Perea scored five points and pulled down five rebounds.
• Graduate student Evan Gordon had two points, two assists, two blocks and three steals.
• Freshman Devin Davis scored six points and added one steal.
• Freshman Troy Williams scored five points and added two rebounds and one steal.
